Until the year 2000, the sucre currency circulated in Ecuador, in which in 1999 the banking holiday occurred due to the monetary system. Banks were weak from the dollarization process and banks are now more stable than before dollarization. Inflation is also lower than before dollarization, which when dollarization occurred was 90% and then decreased to 10%. Likewise, the economy of Ecuador is better than that of Venezuela.
